Mike is the father of Pam Hunter, Ron Hunter's wife.  Mike is also the clerk of our state association and our board member to the National Association.  He has been having throat problems for a long time and is having trouble breathing.  Pam explains:

"His breathing problem is a result of a new papilloma growth and scar tissue from past surgeries to his vocal chords.  The area is swollen and is blocking 60% of his airway.  He had a bronchoscopy done today and saw that the bronchial tubes and lungs are all clear.  We were afraid that the papilloma had spread.  Thankfully that has not happened.  Next Thursday  (5th) he will have surgery where they will remove all of the skin from his chords in an effort to allow fresh skin to regrow free of scar tissue and free of any papilloma virus cells (roots - my word).  Thanks Bill - my being up here has really heightened my concern.  His breathing is very bad."
