I received this e-mail from Geri (his wife) this morning. Let's remember them in prayer.
As you might remember, Jim had an appointment with the surgeon yesterday. We got the news from the MRI on his back and neck. He will need another surgery on his neck probably in June or July, 6 months after the other. He can go back to a desk job for now. No risk taking, no ladders, no bike rides- the neck is considered unstable as the disk has slipped and herniated already. Low back also has several layers of herniation and rupture but that takes a back seat to the neck.
Needless to say, he is glad to have it validate his symptoms but depressing from the standpoint of limitations, and "not taking care of my end of things" as he says. Thank you for keeping us in prayer. Geri
