Communicating With You Makes My Day!!!

  • E-Motion - Week 3

See, it's not that hard after all.  You have a story - I have a story - we all have a story - our story.  We call that a testimony.  We wrote our stories this morning during worship and, like me, those are fond memories.

I remember when I accepted Christ into my life.  It was AWESOME!  I was young and had been in church all my life but it didn't matter to me.  The unique thing about my testimony like many of you is that I went away from God for a short time in high school.  Looking back on it, it was a waste of a lot of precious time.  When I came back to Christ, I picked up where I left off and have been in a close relationship with Him ever since.  Wow - I guess that's my testimony in a nutshell.

Now, what do we do with these written testimonies?  Share them with someone else.  Maybe it's someone you work with, a friend, co-worker or family member.  Maybe someone you know is going through a difficult time. Don't keep it a secret.  It was the greatest transformation in your life you've ever experienced.  God doesn't want you to keep it a secret.  He wants you to tell it to someone else.  So, pray about it, memorize it (though that wouldn't be hard to do) and share it.  He did!

Love you guys and we'll see you this week in small group.

Don't forget RACE DAY this coming Sunday!

  • E-Motion - Week 2

Well, yesterday was an AWESOME day.  In fact, the whole weekend was spectacular.  We were honored to have Dr. Chandra Singh from Tamil Nadu India with us representing Christian Medical College Hospital. This is a mission field reaching out to the Hindu citizens of India.

Also, we had the OUTLAND GANG with us - David & Angie Outlaw and their family (minus one).  They presented their desire to go and serve in Central Asia in Kazakhstan.  They are raising support for their trip and feel the direction of God to serve Him in this highly Muslim country.

It's all a part of E-Motion - evangelizing by going - putting action to the great commission in Matthew 28:19 & 20.  By reaching out locally and internationally, we are pleasing God and bringing a smile to His face.

This coming Sunday, the topic is "Let's Go Fishing,"  We will discover the techniques and unchangeable laws regarding reaching the lost.  I hope you'll be there.

    Love you guys!

  • E-Motion - Week 1

The "E" stands for evangelism - the "MOTION" stands for "GO"!  It's taken from Matthew 28:19 & 20 where Jesus says, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV)

As Christians, we are commanded to go.  But preach? Teach?  So often, I hear people say, "I can't do that" but those are not the only avenues there are to reach people.  In today's sermon, we learned to Be Ourselves.  That's right - God want's to use you and who you are, to reach others.  But we have to get out of our group - out of our comfort zone.  We have to pray for the Spirit to move in us as well as in the one He want's us to reach.

We focused on Revelation 22:17 where the Bible says, "  The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life." We are the ones who hear.  We must tell others to come.  Come to church, a special event or service.  You'll never know whose life you'll impact just by saying come.  Who will you say "come" to this week?

See you in small groups this week.

    Bill
